Ps4 turns off in 2 seconds. Blue light to no light.

Anyone fixed this problem yet? It could be PS4 power supply, but the console I have here has a 4 pin power supply and I have a an extra 5 pin PS4 power supply.

I have only seen one ps3 have a bad power supply that causes the red to green to no light n 5seconds. It was the high voltage side on the powers supply.

Funny how sony would have changed the ps4 within the 1st year.

Yes I've seen a similar behavior on ps3 in the past that were caused by defective power supplies or loose contacts.

This is not normally caused by a power supply. The only ones that I have seen that have a bad power supply come on for just a split second...maybe like half a second...the blue light usually doesn't even come on. If the fan comes on on this console then you can bet it's not a power supply problem. I'm not saying that it's not possible, just that it is extremely unlikely.

Lucky me. I have a second one with this same problem dropped off. Have not opened it to check the pins on the power supply. They already have 2 models of PS4. Difference blue ray drive and a 4 or 5 pin power supply.

Have not had a chance to open second console yet. it is model 1115A. I have a power supply that doesn't match that model.

Any updates on this repair? I've had some success with reflowing these but not 100%.

Sorry to be late answering you. I guess I thought the posts in the other section was covering this. Forgot about this post.

I had 3 of these come in and could not fix any of them. I do not have another power supply, they all needed the newer PSU. I have the older one. I will try a reball on one. I do not expect it to work.
