    Macbook strange numbers

    Hello all..sorry for using this kind of topic,just wanted to get attention... and sorry for asking this kind of question might be stupid question to u guys,but to me it means alot....as a newbie ... the macbook number been used on this forum.how do u get this numbers of macbook like this (820-2390) how do u know which macbook board is this or how do I understand this numbers makes me confused all the time i see it here on this forum...am totally lost any help guYs please....just want to understand what you guys are posting ...

    Hey there,
    Google is your friend.
    Search string is "820-2390", first match is eBay:
    Apple MacBook Pro Unibody 17" A1297 2.93GHz Logic Board 820-2390-A Early- 2009


    Problem solved.
    The numbers we refer to is the Apple part number of the boards, they are usually 820-xxxx-A or B.
    They are unique, they refer only to one or to models is the same period.
