820-00923 - No trackpad, no Keyboard - Goes directly to the "critical software update" error

    Hello,

I have to say I haven't had the time to do my homework as I've haven't done any measurements yet.
All I can say is that the board is looking pristine and that it won't allow me to boot any OS as it will only load the menu asking to connect to the internet to solve that "critical software update".
That will indeed never succeed and will only allow me to retry or shutdown the Mac.

I've heard that a bad trackpad/keyboard could cause this issue.

Any usual suspect for a no keyboard/trackpad on this model (A1707 Touchbar 13")?

    Thanks.

PS: I'll measure some voltages and resistances tomorrow of course and report.

Many times I had bad keyboard. Also inspect keyboard ribbon (MLB-topcase).
